5 Things Present in Blade Runner's 2019 that we are still waiting for.

Blade Runner is an awesome movie that presented us with it's classic neo-noir vision of the future, while it was then set up 37 years in future at the time of its release in 1982, that future 2019 (I know its still 2017)  it presented has not quite become a reality, & things are more or less a lot better(normal?) than what is shown in the movie, even though the movie shows a future that seems a bit dum and glum now but still the movie's vision of the future is pretty awesome, and here are 5 things from the movie's 2019 that we are still waiting for today:

1.  Hair Dryer:  I personally have only used a hair dryer to dry my phone to try & fix it after it fell in water (No, it didnt work) but people make it look like a chore to dry their hair & for them the hair dryer in Blade Runner could be a life saver, one of the replicants just puts her head in it for 10 seconds & BAM! she is ready.
Magic!
2. Pokemon Style Video-Phones! : Yeah yeah we have Video calling on our mobiles & Laptop but maybe its just because they were also present in Pokemon that I feel Landline/stationary Video phones would be so much more better.
3. Human "Replicants": In the Blade Runner universe bio-engineering has been perfected and beings almost identical to humans called "replicants" are being made, and its not just humans even animals like snakes & owls have been artificially made. One of these "replicant's" date of manufature(?) is also told during the movie as 2017, & did I tell you that they also have superhuman strength! Well what we have actually accomplished close to this might be the "Pleasure" dolls that are getting popular in Asia.

4. Living "Off World": Though the film only shows Earth, constant references are made to people living "Off world", Well living in space seems a tall task to be accomplished by 2019 when even travelling  into space is yet to happen.

This guy will not get stuck in traffic!
5.Flying Cars: Yes the ultimate car that all of us have been dreaming of for years the one that doesn't have to wait in traffic the one that can fly are present in Blade Runner! "Spinner" is the generic term for the flying cars used in the film. A spinner can be driven as a ground-based vehicle, and take off vertically, hover, and cruiseNow only  if all the Engineers didn't do bloody MBA these days and instead did what they are supposed to we could have gotten this beauty by now.

So would anyone like to have any of the stuff present in Blade Runner? Share your thoughts in comments!
