A Home For My Head

At present when we speak of Thor, Marvel's pretty boy superhero Thor generally comes to mind. Well that is kind of natural as due to the huge popularity and presence of the Marvel Cinematic Universe they have kind of made the Norse God their own property. People often forget or don't know to begin with that Thor is originally a Mythical character present in the Norse Mythology. In the Norse Folklore just like the MCU he is the God of Thunder, wields a hammer-Mjolinir, is son of Odin, as well as Step brother of Mr. Mischief-Loki. Unlike the MCU he is not a Superhero who teams up with Ironman & Co. He is a a God that holds a great place in the Norse Mythology. Also he is a red head! Since he is a part of Myths that have been in existence for centuries, Marvel cannot claim to own the character & for this reason he has been able to be part of all of the pop culture. If you take a look at the little 'about me' widget located on the sidebar of this blog, you will read me announcing that I am a DC fan, so does it automatically mean I absolutely hate Marvel and anything Marvel related, HELL NO! I absolutely love Spiderman, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Deadpool to name a few Marvel characters. I use to watch almost all of their movies till about the Avengers came out, then I started skipping almost all of the MCU movies until Homecoming came out, cuz gots to watch Spidey! In between I also saw all  the X-Men movies including Deadpool. I am talking about going to the Movie theater at this point as I have seen almost all of the MCU movies at some point or the other with the exception of Thor 2 and Dr. Strange. So what gives why can't we all just take the high road and love all the great characters, stop being fanboys, stop trolling or debating on the Internet and just enjoying the great age of comic book movies in peace.
