I am writing this literally hours after thumping defeat at the hands of Barcelona, who really got more than they deserved but they did deserve the three points. Just not with a 3-0 scoreline. This is not a match analysis, there are far too many better people to do that. This post is more to get over the defeat than anything else.
As this result might have knocked the wind out of most of us(Real Madrid) fans, but it should not be enough to ruin the historic year that we have had, in which we won a historic 5 trophies. Yes things are not how they should be, especially with the awesome Super Cup wins, our La Liga & Champions League performances have been kind of mediocre.
The thing is even in the clasico we were better for most parts of the first half, in second we woke up too late after getting down to 10 men and it was too little too late, but this team is great, the midfield is one of the best of all time, the defence & attack are solid, if anything they are under-performing but after two champions league trophies back-to-back I guess they should both get a bit of a breathing room.
There are just two players that I have complaints against first one is the black sheep but one of my favorite players, i.e. one and only Mr. Karim Benzema, I think its just over, he doesn't have it in him anymore to play for Real Madrid on the regular. Maybe he is unlucky with hitting the post all the time, but no, he is just too wasteful, & he does not deserve to be a starter at Madrid. The second one is my favorite player in Real Madrid, our captain, the hothead, Sergio Ramos, who if had been sent off for idiotically lashing out against Luis Suarez, would have had little to complain about. He has been poor this season getting sent off time and again for idiotic stuff that he should know after playing more than a decade for Real Madrid that he should not be doing.
Other than with that Modric, Kroos, Casemiro, Isco, Kovacic, Asensio, Ceballos, llorente & Lucas our midfield is solid. The problems in the attack might be solved if Gareth Bale can stay fit(one can only hope). Cristiano is still the best when it matters(most of the times), but a striker should be signed in January along with a right back if possible but I don't have any hopes.
Still we should all keep calm and trust our manager and team as they have delivered time and again over last two season, that is atleast until PSG come to town. La Liga maybe over but Champions League, and Copa are still there and f@#k it if any team can come back from being 14 points down I believe it is us.
