Xbox One X is here, should Sony be worried about PS4?

Image
Console Wars! Everybody knows about the disastrous Xbox one launch & Microsoft has got a lot of bad rep for all the mistakes it made back then. Now the unusual mid generation console upgrades are here for the first time. Tables are seemingly turned this time around as Sony is the one whose PlayStation Pro has come under some criticism for not packing enough punch in its hood, while Xbox One X now looks as if it has made all the right moves and is definitely a lot more powerful & capable than Pro. Will it actually matter now? Is it actually gonna help make Xbox get back up & compete with Sony at the top, or is it bound to be a case of too little too late for the American Giant. I think it might me the later & Sony does not have much to worry about & was actually right to have not upgraded their original model extensively. Here are the reasons Sony doesn't have to worry about Xbox One X: The Price: Xbox One X is priced $500 while PlayStation Pro is $10...

The Best a.k.a Cristiano Ronaldo 2016-17: The best of 'Big Moments'

Image
Cristiano Ronaldo just won the 'Fifa Best' award yesterday after scoring his least number of goals in a La Liga season i.e. one worse than his debut season with 'just' 25 goals, made his lowest no. of appearances in a La Liga season at just 29 matches, had just two goals in the champions league uptill the quaterfinals, & despite that he was the undisputed best of the 2016-17 season. The Best With Zinedine Zidane resting the Portugese legend on quite a few occations at the tail end of last season, he was in prime condition for the 'Big Matches', & boy oh boy did he performed in those matches. He was an absolute monster in the latter stages of the Champions League scoring a mind boggling, record breaking, & unparalleled 10 goals in the knockout rounds of the greatest club football competition. Man did he turn up for matches against Atletico, Bayern, & Juventus. It all started against the mighty Bayern at the Alianz Arena where the most pla...

Does it have to be Marvel vs DC? YES!

Image
If you take a look at the little 'about me' widget located on the sidebar of this blog, you will read me announcing that I am a DC fan, so does it automatically mean I absolutely hate Marvel and anything Marvel related, HELL NO! I absolutely love Spiderman, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Deadpool to name a few Marvel characters. I use to watch almost all of their movies till about the Avengers came out, then I started skipping almost all of the MCU movies until Homecoming came out, cuz gots to watch Spidey! In between I also saw all  the X-Men movies including Deadpool. I am talking about going to the Movie theater at this point as I have seen almost all of the MCU movies at some point or the other with the exception of Thor 2 and Dr. Strange. So what gives why can't we all just take the high road and love all the great characters, stop being fanboys, stop trolling or debating on the Internet and just enjoying the great age of comic book movies in peace. Wel...

The Joys of Trophy Hunting!

Image
In February 2012 I hooked up my brand new mint ps3 to the TV & started playing one of the greatest games ever made: Uncharted 2 (Courtesy of Mr. FullPawar who lent me the game) fully intent on burning through the story mode as fast as I can, while enjoying the story but not sparing a second thought on collectibles or trying different weapons or anything but in the middle of the game I heard a sound "plink!", turns out without even knowing I had earned a PSN trophy, a bronze one called 'Cadet Fortune Hunter', I wasn't sure what to make of it first it was a digital accomplishment more like a Facebook 'like' not anything real, right? Little did I know that little trophy will completely change the way I played games suddenly what used to be a sprint from starting a game till completing its story mode became a project, a project that gave me a whole lot more satisfaction than just seeing the end credits roll, getting that elusive Platinum became the driv...

5 of Liverpool's best performance's against Manchester United over the last Decade

Image
Ever since that fateful night in Istanbul in May 2005 when Liverpool made the greatest comeback in Champions League history on the biggest occasion possible: The Champions League Final, they have not managed to rise to the heavy-hitting nametag of a European giant that carry around with them. Over the last decade or so they have been more often found languishing in a battle for the top four or worse, rather than challenging for the title in England, & have not been in the knockout stage of the Champions League since 2008-09 Season. That is definitely not a rosy picture for Liverpool.  While their great rivals Manchester United themselves have hit some turbulence over the last few seasons after Legendary Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, but to just say they have fared better than their arch rivals would be an understatement. They have won more trophies during the last season, where they were supposedly rebuilding , than Liverpool over the last decade! Amazing, right? I...

Some love for Superman: The Original Superhero.

Image
If you have a look at the current position of DC comics and the content that it is putting out be it Comic books, animated movies, TV shows, video games, or whatever else they are making you would believe  that it is basically a brand of Batman & Others, while the recent Wonder Woman movie ( that is by the way first movie ever for a 75 year old character ) has given some of long due spotlight to her, the fact remains that in last decade DC Comics has become so focused on The Dark Knight that the Superhero that started it all in Action Comic #1 in June 1938  i.e. Superman  has been forced to take a backseat. It is not just that publishers are doing it on purpose why would they want one of their very few truly great characters to suffer? Fans  (haters?) are too responsible for shifting the focus off superman as they regularly moan, complain, & criticize dear old Supes.  So let me quash some of the criticism  that is being thrown towards Superman and...

How do Real Madrid solve their RB problem, if Dani Carvajal is out for long.

Image
Real Madrid decided to let their second choice Right Back Danilo leave for Machester City during the summer, & instead of signing a experienced replacement decided to promote their own youth product Achraf Hakimi to plug in the gap left by Danilo. Now two week ago, Carvajal was diagnosed with viral pericardium infection & due to the uncertain nature of his injury, Zinedine Zidane faces a problem on how to deal with Carvajal's absence, here are the 5 ways Zidane can fill the void left by Carvajal's injury: 1. Trust Achraf Hakimi This is exactly what Zidane did during the match against Espanyol that was the first & only match Real have played since Carvajal injured himself against Dortmund. The youngster to his credit performed admirably considering that this was his Official Debut, but he is still only 18 years old and to expect him to fill in for Dani & playing at times three games in 8-9 days maybe to much too ask & may lead him to burning ou...

5 Things Present in Blade Runner's 2019 that we are still waiting for.

Image
Blade Runner is an awesome movie that presented us with it's classic neo-noir vision of the future, while it was then set up 37 years in future at the time of its release in 1982, that future 2019 (I know its still 2017)  it presented has not quite become a reality, & things are more or less a lot better(normal?) than what is shown in the movie, even though the movie shows a future that seems a bit dum and glum now but still the movie's vision of the future is pretty awesome, and here are 5 things from the movie's 2019 that we are still waiting for today: 1.   Hair Dryer :  I personally have only used a hair dryer to dry my phone to try & fix it after it fell in water (No, it didnt work) but people make it look like a chore to dry their hair & for them the hair dryer in Blade Runner could be a life saver, one of the replicants just puts her head in it for 10 seconds & BAM! she is ready. Magic! 2. Pokemon Style Video-Phones! : Yeah yeah w...

Cristiano Ronaldo V/s Lionel Messi

Image
Cristiano Ronaldo V/s Lionel Messi European golden boy vs Latin American prodigy Bad boy vs Baby face Arrogant Prick vs Innocent Shit Business man vs Tax Fraudster National Hero vs National Coward Its a debate no matter how you put it in the headlines will be never ending, both guys are definitely legends of modern football and have defined this era of football. They are locked in a rivalry that makes both of them do unrealistic things on the football pitch all the time. Thousands of people have written about their never ending rivalry over the last decade, millions have their opinions heard in countless polls, everyday football fans have their debates on this topic, now let me shoot my opinion on why Cristiano Ronaldo is the definitely the better player, the better guy, & more importantly the better role model (despite his arrogant image). Lets start with matters on pitch: On the pitch with Messi & Ronaldo, I like to draw parallels of their rivalry with anot...

Real Humiliation: Remembering 27th October 2009

Image
"We hope our fans can forgive us after this defeat." -Manuel Pellegrini told the Marca While many Madridstas wont remember, or wont want to remember the date 27th October 2009 but it is a date that all of us Madridstas should remember as it is   pretty  easy to forget what makes the success that Real Madrid are currently enjoying after successfully retaining the Champions League so much sweet and what mistakes we had made so we make sure and avoid them moving forward. Humiliation, Ridiculously Historic  were some of the headlines  Well without straying away much further and trying to be all philosophical let me get straight to what actually happened that day, that day Real Madrid traveled to AD Alcorcon one of the smaller teams of Madrid, at that time playing in Segunda B (third tier) of Spanish Football, with a new set of Galacticos bought in by Uncle Flo. It was matchday Round of 32 of Copa Del Rey that is generally an afterthought after Champions L...
